Behavioural and Functional Measures
Clinical and social applications
The Panoramic Wearable Sensor Platform can measure some of the behaviours and functions that most impact the daily lives of patients with chronic health conditions. Like other wearable devices, we can estimate sleep and activity levels but by using the data from the bracelet and beacons together, we can gain further insights on aspects of patients lives that matter to them.
For example, we can determine:
We are partnering with clinicians and data scientists to study these activities with different groups of patients. |
Today researchers rely on patient diaries and questionnaires to gain insights into the impact of disease and treatments on individuals and their families. Our goal is to add greater objectivity to these assessments through the use of digital technologies.

Disrupted SleepPeople have disrupted sleep for many reasons. We can measure behaviours in the night such as getting up to go to the bathroom, going downstairs to the kitchen or tossing and turning in bed.
|
Social InteractionIf more than one person wears a bracelet, it is possible to determine how much time they spend together. This can help researchers to better understand the role of a partner or carer.

Chronic FatigueIt is estimated that 10% of global population suffers from chronic fatigue. We are working with clinicians and researchers to understand the impact of fatigue in different patient groups.
